font-size: x-large;"&gt;F&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;UNCHAL has been undergoing a very extensive refit in Lisbon in order to comply with SOLAS 2010 and to improve her passenger facilities as well as crew quarters and general technical survey and facelift.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Refit work is going on in Lisbon and following a month at the drydock nº.1 of NAVALROCHA shipyard, the FUNCHAL returned on 5 March at 16.00PM to the Matinha Pier where she is going to stay until May.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-weight: bold;"&gt;I&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;n June 1972 the T/S FUNCHAL made a long cruise from Lisbon across the Mediterranean up to Istambul where the photograph was taken on 28 June by Bert Lammers.&lt;br /&gt;It was FUNCHAL's first visit to Istambul.&lt;br /&gt;The black hull without the lower white line is no longer in place after she was painted blue during the February - March refit at Lisnave Rocha shipyard. She was repainted blue for the charter voyage as ship of state with Portugal's President Admiral Thomaz to Brazil in April - May. On her return she did a voyage to the Azores still with blue hull and on the following stay in Lisbon the hull was repainted black again but with the white list as boot topping&lt;br /&gt;Photo by Bert Lammers (L.
